RECC Principal Kris Cox is an attorney with a practice encompassing all aspects of the construction industry and the representation of cities, counties, and other governmental agencies. He has also represented many public entities in the implementation of major infrastructure improvement projects.
Kris served as the primary, in-house construction counsel for the San Francisco International Airport during its $2.9 billion Master Plan Construction Program, assisting in resolving disputes arising from a freeway toll road developed by a Public Private Partnership (“PPP”) in San Diego County, and representing owners and contractors involved in the construction and development of, and resolution of disputes related to hospital, light rail, school, dam, jail, sports field, and residential and commercial infrastructure projects. He understands how to counsel governmental entities through all phases of deploying major infrastructure projects, and how to pragmatically resolve the various issues that affect most infrastructure projects.
Kris is an attorney with the law firm of Moscone Emblidge Sater & Otis, LLP, in San Francisco. Prior to teaming up with RECC, Kris also served as Deputy Counsel for the City and County of San Francisco, and the San Francisco International Airport, and was a partner at a boutique law firm where he focused on construction, infrastructure project development, and environmental matters. Kris earned his law degree from the Hastings College of Law School, and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California Santa Barbara.
